5 Terrific Tips For Using Your Part-Time Student Job to Socialise in Leeds

If you are looking to a part time student job in Leeds while you’re at Uni, there are lots of options. However, in order to get that perfect balance between work and play, take the following fantastic advice to make sure you never have to miss catching up with your friends because you have to earn your pennies!

Tip #1…If you want to stay in the proverbial student bubble for your whole degree, think about a part-time student job in a place filled with students — pubs! Here’s the scene, it’s a weekday evening and everyone’s going to Gatecrasher, but- cue the violins- you have your shift in the pub that night. Rather than sulking, why not get everyone to gather for pre-drinks there? So you see all your friends, before they finally clear off to go partying, and you get paid to pull pints and socialise with them.

Tip #2 …There are loads of fantastic student café’s offering part time work in the Hyde Park area of Leeds, such as La Caferiere and the famous LS6. These places are an absolute hive of student activity and great places to find part-time student jobs. Leeds cafe, La Caferiere has a lovely laid back and intimate atmosphere, working there means your bound to see somebody you know! Whereas LS6 serves amazing food and is great for small group catch ups. It is well known and well loved by Leeds students, the staff and customers get on like a big happy LS6 family!

Tip #3…Many Leeds students live in and around Hyde Park, and when they can’t be bothered to go to town, the Sainsbury’s on Brudenell Road is a great place to pick up some nice expensive bread and milk. Working in this branch means you see everybody you know all the time, and can have chats at the cash desk. It’s always a busy shop so you always meet people, and you can laugh at the hungover student wearing their pyjamas.

Tip #4…A part-time job in a club is fantastic for seeing friends, and having a mini bop behind the bar, but particularly for meeting new, attractive people who want drinks! This gives ample opportunity to exercise flirting skills and, fingers crossed, get the number of the cute person who likes to drink vodka red-bulls. Plus, if you’re working a shift the night your friends go out, you can gently steer them towards joining you where you work, so you can do a bit of spying on who’s sneaking off with the hottie at the end of the night!

Tip # 5… Contact the Leeds Student Union. Did you know they post lots of part time job listings in the union building? There’s part time jobs listed there for just about every type you could think of. You can also access their web site which is full of many opportunities.

Buyers beware, though; you may be obligated to work for that facility once your training is complete. Local Red Cross chapters. Maybe the most time-consuming and expensive option, but community and junior colleges have programs that can qualify you for higher-paying or more specialized jobs, particularly certified nurse assistant (CNA) programs. Online courses. Online courses can be a great way to strengthen your skills if you are already working or enrolled in an on-site program.

While you won’t earn a six-figure salary as a nursing assistant, you may find the potential for flexible hours and part time work an attractive trade-off. Furthermore, this entry-level job is a great way to test the healthcare waters. You can get practical experience and, perhaps, discover that you want to become a nurse or physician’s assistant. And with the country facing a critical shortage of nursing assistants, you could turn your education and training into a stable, up-and-coming career. The colon is a vital component of your body and having a clean colon is important to your overall well-being. Even the bible refers to the colon as the seat of the personality. Taking Care of Your Body, Your Temple

According to 1 Corinthians 3:16, 17 “Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? And, above all, remember with everything you consume “Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.” (1 Corinthians 10:31)
